The Avantone “Cabernet (C Series)” microphones are designed to provide professional performance. They meet or exceed the specifications of much more expensive microphones. The CK-1 in its normal stock form uses high quality polystyrene and metallized polypropylene capacitors in the audio path. On stage for drum overheads, as well as for acoustic instruments and piano, the microphone is equally at home.

CONDENSER MICROPHONE

The CK-1’s rugged microphone body and capsule are precision machined from brass. Aesthetically, it is finished in an elegant Cabernet Wine Red accented by polished nickel parts and capsule placement.

The CK-1 features 3 interchangeable 19mm (3/4″) capsules for unlimited miking possibilities. The microphone is made from the finest materials and accordingly has excellent signal integrity.

The included SSM Shockmount allows for precise positioning of the microphone while preventing unwanted vibrations from being transmitted into the microphone. The CK-1 features separate switches for a -10dB attenuation and an 80Hz high-pass filter. The -10dB attenuation switch can be activated when miking sources with very high sound pressure levels to prevent overloading the electronics. The 80Hz high-pass filter prevents unwanted low frequencies in the recording.
