The Van Damme Silver Series Lo Cap 55 is a top-of-the-line instrument cable for recording applications. It is especially suitable for guitars, bass and amps and is becoming increasingly popular in use with synthesizers. The Silver Series is designed to reproduce the instrument signal as faithfully as possible. Ordinary instrument cables often sound a bit “shrill” or “harsh” in the highs when used with guitars, bass and amps. The capacitive design of the Van Damme Silver Series with an extremely low capacitance of 55 picofarads (core to screen) produces a near linear frequency response with only a very slight rolloff, which makes instruments like guitars and bass sound more pleasant and better integrated into the mix. The cable continues to sound tremendously detailed throughout the frequency response.
This instrument cable was designed primarily for use in recording situations, not for live use. It ensures exceptional signal integrity.
Due to the increased diameter of the core, we recommend Neutrik NP2XL Jumbo plugs for jack plugs.

Lo-Cap 55: 55 pF per meter; The low capacitance number produces an almost linear frequency response.
Flat-Cap 90: 90 pF per meter; The medium capacitance number produces a slight high frequency drop.
Hi-Cap 125: 125 pF per meter; A higher capacitance number results in a higher high-frequency drop and a particular mid-range emphasis.
The Silver series includes three unbalanced instrument cables with three specific capacities. They are mainly intended for guitar, bass guitar and amp applications. A no-compromise approach to materials and electrical properties is used in the design of these cables.
