Der Golden Age Project PRE-73 MKIII ist ein Vorverstärker mit bis zu 80dB Gain für Mikrofon-, Line- und Instrumenten-Signale. Neben der +48V Phantomspeisung und der Polaritätsumkehr hat der Preamp ein schalbares Filter (0, 40, 170Hz) und wahlweise eine Frequenzanhebung bei 30kHz mit 0, 3 oder 6 dB Anhebung. Außerdem lässt sich die Impedanz zwischen 1200 Ohm und 300 Ohm umschalten.
Der Mikrofon-Eingang und Line-Ausgang sind beide mit XLR/ Klinke Combo-Buchsen ausgestattet, der Hi-Z-Eingang ist als Klinke ausgeführt. Über das 4-stufige LED-Meter kann der Pegel abgelesen werden.
