The GIK Acoustics 244 bass trap with FlexRange technology uses the patented concept for maximum low-frequency control. It can be mounted flush to the wall via a wire system attached to the back. Likewise, they are also suitable in corners or as a cloud on the ceiling. The design of the 244 bass trap allows it to be installed in multiples to absorb low frequencies as effectively as possible. Highs in the room are not overdamped at the same time, which makes the room sound lively.
The 244 bass trap is precisely designed and manufactured to exacting standards. It is constructed around a two-frame system that provides low-frequency absorption of side and rear incident sound while giving a defined and clean shape and edge control. GIK Acoustics uses high-quality fabrics that meet the Greensafe standard. This means that GIK uses only mineral wool made from naturally occurring and/ or recycled raw materials and bonded with bio-based technology that is free of formaldehyde, phenols, acrylics, and no artificial bleaches or dyes. Therefore, the material protects the air quality in the room, the environment and also the wallet.

FLEXRANGE TECHNOLOGY
FlexRange technology was developed through research and multiple trials and promises the highest quality absorption in the bass range. It includes all of GIK’s existing bass trap types and additionally offers control over the frequency range to be absorbed. In the standard version, the bass traps have a broadband effect.
Equipped with a membrane, the bass traps absorb lower frequencies more strongly while higher frequencies are less affected. This membrane is part of the FlexRange technology and is called RANGE LIMITER. It absorbs up to 50% more low frequencies (below 60Hz) while preserving 75% more high frequencies (400 Hz up) compared to the wideband option.
The third option is a SCATTER PLATE. Here, a wooden plate with gaps provides a balanced distribution of absorption and diffusion. The effective range for diffusion is between 2.5 and 10 kHz.

GIK acoustic elements are available in 9 standard Camira Cara fabric variants at no extra charge. Alternatively, other Camira Cara, Camira Lucia and Inloom Bondai colors can be selected at an additional cost. The surcharge depends on the size of the module.
