The GIK Acoustics Alpha Series is perfect for achieving uniform absorption and diffusion. This prevents over-attenuation and creates a uniform reverberation time over the entire frequency range. The core of this module is made of Greensafe mineral wool.
Primarily, the Alpha Series is positioned on the front, rear, and rear side walls to make sound propagation in the room more uniform, or behind dipole loudspeakers to reduce sharp first reflections. Of course, it can also be placed anywhere in recording rooms or other large spaces to evenly distribute sound energy.

4A Alpha Series
The modules convince with an appealing front panel, which is available in five different colors and 3 different diffusion sequences. These sequences are mathematically calculated and diffuse either horizontally only (1D) or horizontally and vertically (2D). Also, the thin faceplate allows lower frequencies to pass through so the acoustic foam can absorb the lower mids. Below you’ll find more info on the sequence options.
Special feet can be mounted to this module for free standing. Freestanding, the room acoustics can also be influenced by rotating the module. For diffusion, the alpha panel faces the front, for absorption, the fabric-covered back. In addition, the modules can be set up freestanding, flexibly at initial reflection points or at an angle in room corners as bass traps.
Sequence
1D Option
The 1D variant uses a series of mathematically calculated sequential slots along the length of the module. As a result, the 1D plate scatters sound horizontally.
2D (a) Option
The 2D variant works with a series of mathematically calculated, sequential points and slots. As a result, the 2D plate scatters sound horizontally and vertically.
2D (b) Option
The 2D variant works with a series of mathematically calculated, sequential slots. As a result, the 2D plate scatters sound horizontally and vertically.

GIK acoustic elements are available in 9 standard Camira Cara fabric variants at no extra charge. Alternatively, other Camira Cara, Camira Lucia and Inloom Bondai colors can be selected at an additional cost. The surcharge depends on the size of the module.
