Warm Audio offers the WA73 series of single and dual channel preamps (with & without EQ) that pay careful homage to the original British circuitry. The WA73 series are boutique preamps that can equally be used as studio and live workhorses. The classic circuit used harmonizes fantastically with any type of microphone. Even ribbon and dynamic microphones get a crystal clear yet creamy icing on the cake. From tracking to mastering, you are prepared for any task thanks to sensible equipment and sovereign sound.

Enthusiasts clearly get excited about the components used in classic ’73-style British preamps. Signal transformers are a frequent topic of conversation. Various versions of transformers have been used in vintage devices over the years, but the most sought-after were the earliest versions. These are considered the most desirable choice due to their fluid and forgiving nature. Warm Audio has worked closely with Carnhill Transformers of Cambridgeshire UK to develop faithful replicas of these sought-after early transformers. At Warm Audio, we’ve yet to hear a modern 73-style preamp that sounds as sweet and musical as our WA73 with those beautiful custom transformers.
