SPL Audio Track One
949€
- Preamplifier with channel strip
- +48V phantom power
- XLR and TS input
Out of stock
SPL Audio’s Track One is a fully equipped channel strip for vocal and instrument recording with the highest demands on sound and operational reliability.
The Channel Strip is equipped with two separate preamps for microphones and instruments. They are tuned for sound neutrality and deliver a transparent sound. The built-in low-cut can be used for both preamps. In addition, the mic preamp also has 48V phantom power.
The preamp is followed by a de-esser with automatic detection. This detects S-sounds and reduces them by phase cancellation. Even if the singer’s distance to the microphone varies, the auto-threshold enables constant processing.
Inputs and outputs (XLR, TS):
- Maximum input level (Line): 28dBu
- Maximum input level (Instrument): 12dBu
- Maximum output level: 20dBu
- Input impedance (line): 12kΩ
- Input impedance (instrument): 1MΩ
- Output impedance: 50Ω
- Common mode rejection (1kHz): 80dB
- Frequency response (-3dB): 10Hz – 180kHz
- Noise (A-weighted, Mic Preamp, 20dB Gain): -97.5dBu
- Noise (A-weighted, Mic Preamp, 40dB Gain): -91Bu
- Noise (A-weighted, Mic Preamp, 60dB Gain): -67dBu
- E.I.N. (150Ω): -129dBu
- Noise (A-weighted, Line/Intr. Preamp, 7dB Gain): -98.4dBu
- Noise (A-weighted, Line/Intr. Preamp, 20dB Gain): -95.8dBu
- Noise (A-weighted, Line/Intr. Preamp, 42dB Gain): -77.2dBu
- Dynamic range: >112dB
COMPACT CHANNEL STRIP
The compressor works with an unobtrusive, musical mode of operation and has excellent noise and distortion data. Two potentiometers are available for processing the signal: strength of compression and level catch-up via the make-up control. A button can be used to switch the compressor in a limiter.
The 3-band equalizer was designed for the Track One and is specifically designed for processing voices and instruments. The EQ section consists of two semi-parametric bands and an air band that adds silky highs via a gain control.
The output control can be used to raise or lower the signal level according to the following devices.
The display shows the presence of the input signal, the output level, internal clipping, the reduction of the compressor and that of the de-esser.
Optional equipment for the Frontliner
Luhndahl Transformer (Premium)
Transformers are used as an alternative to electronic balancing stages in inputs and outputs. They are often used in audio engineering because they round off the fundamental range and give it a bit more punch. In addition, trebles sound more present and silky. However, to achieve the highest precision in signal transmission, electronic stages should be used. Therefore the taste and application case decide here. If the Luhndahl transformers are used in the microphone input, they provide an additional gain of 14dB and thus relieve the preamplifier. Also, no noise is added, since the translation raises the level passively in the transformer. Therefore, the input transformer has a greater importance in preamplifiers. However, the sound unfolding is only completed with both transformers together.
AD converter module 1090
There are two digital outputs and one digital sync input on the 24-bit converter card. Input and output 1 are S/PDif, output 2 is optical (Toslink).
The internal sample rate can be set individually to 44.1, 88.2 and 96 kHz. If an external synchronization signal runs via the Sync Input, the values 32, 176.4 and 192 kHz can be selected.
Transformer + converter module
The largest version incorporates both Luhndahl transformers and the AD converter module.
