What does the cable configurator offer?
The cable configurator allows you to create individual cables according to your exact specifications. You can select parameters such as cable length, color, labeling and connector type to configure a cable that exactly matches your requirements. Whether for audio, video or data transmission – the configurator offers solutions for almost every application. If a specific configuration is not available, you can contact us to find a customized solution for you.
What types of cables can I configure?
You can configure a variety of cables, including:
- Analog and digital cables for audio applications such as microphone and instrument cables.
- Coaxial cables for video technology, including 12G-SDI cables for high-resolution video transmissions.
- Network cables such as Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat7 for data transmission in professional environments.
- Hybrid cables that integrate both signal and power lines, ideal for live events and broadcasting.
What special configuration options are there?
The configurator allows you to customize the following specifications:
- Series: Determine which application the cable is intended for – whether analog or digital audio signals, analog or digital video signals, CAT cables, various multicore cables and more.
- Length: Determine the exact cable length – down to the centimeter.
Color: Depending on the cable series, up to 10 colors are available for a better overview. - Connector types: Choose from a variety of reliable connectors from Van Damme, Neutrik or Rean. Many of these connectors can also be fitted with colored coding rings and coding boots.
- Labeling: Optionally, you can have your cables labeled for an even better structure at the cable ends.
What are the physical limits of the cable configuration?
While the possibilities are almost unlimited, there are physical limits that must be taken into account:
Over longer distances, some cable types can cause attenuation of the signal, which can impair transmission quality. For this reason, the length selection of the respective cable in the configurator is limited to the physical maximum.
Otherwise, the motto is: No limits! – If a configuration is not included in the configurator, please contact us for an individual offer.
