The VSE-2 Equalizer sets the “Equalizer Benchmark” for Tracking, Mix-Bus and Mastering.
The VSE-2 is a discrete gyrator equalizer with a unique circuit design. 6 discrete gyrators and 4 discrete op-amps bring back the much sought-after sound of the golden analog age.

Vertigo Sounds “Discrete Triple Gyrator 1972” is designed as a fully discrete circuit. The discrete design and sophisticated circuitry produce a distortion spectrum otherwise only found in tube circuits. The harmonics are generated only at the boosted frequency.

VSM-2 WHAT IS A GYRATOR?

First introduced in 1948, a gyrator is an electronic two-port network. This circuit principle is used as the filter heart of the VSE-2 equalizer and is perfectly suited to replace coils (inductors). 

The Gyrator concept is less susceptible to interference and disturbing “ringing” effects. Furthermore it allows to integrate a tube typical distortion spectrum into the filter network.
