The Vanguard Audio Labs V1 Gen2 Pencil condenser microphone is a versatile solution for professional audio recording. It comes with four interchangeable 22 mm capsules covering cardioid, wide cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns. This selection allows flexible adaptation to different recording conditions and sound sources.
The microphone’s transformer-balanced solid-state circuit contains a high-quality hand-tuned dual-monolithic JFET and other oversized premium components. This design ensures a low noise level and high sound resolution. The critical components of the signal and power path have undergone a deep-cycle cryogenic treatment to optimize longevity and performance.
The microphone is characterized by a robust construction made of brass, steel and zinc. The matt black surface minimizes reflections and is therefore ideal for stage and video applications. Each microphone has a laser-engraved serial number that emphasizes its uniqueness.
The scope of delivery includes a VSSM shock mount, which enables stable and vibration-free positioning of the microphone. A storage case made of pine wood ensures safe transportation and storage of the microphone and its accessories.
The V1 Gen2 was designed in the USA and undergoes final assembly in Southern California, where every part is subjected to rigorous quality control. This combination of thoughtful design, quality materials and precision manufacturing makes the V1 Gen2 a premium choice for professional audio recording.
