The Vanguard Audio Labs V1S Gen2 Stereo Pencil Microphone Kit is a comprehensive solution for professional stereo recording. It comprises two V1 Gen2 microphones, each equipped with eight interchangeable 22 mm capsules. These capsules offer cardioid, wide cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns, each in pairs, and allow flexible adaptation to different recording conditions.

The transformer-balanced solid-state circuit of each microphone contains a high-quality hand-tuned dual-monolithic JFET and other oversized premium components. This design ensures a low noise level and high sound resolution. The critical components of the signal and power path have undergone deep-cycle cryogenic treatment to optimize longevity and performance.

The microphones are characterized by a robust construction made of brass, steel and zinc. The matt black surface minimizes reflections and is therefore ideal for stage and video applications. Each microphone has a laser-engraved serial number that emphasizes its uniqueness.

The scope of delivery includes two VSSM shock mounts, which enable stable and vibration-free positioning of the microphones. A stereo rail makes it easy to set up X/Y, ORTF or other stereo miking configurations. The lockable aluminum storage case with custom-made foam insert ensures safe transport and storage of the microphones and their accessories.
