The Van Damme XKE Starquad Microphone Cable was developed under contract for the London 2012 Olympic Games. One of the requirements was to withstand interference even from high current sources while ensuring the highest signal integrity over enormously long running distances. The product development was so successful that the Van Damme XKE Starquad Microphone was also used at the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in venues and for TV broadcast by the BBC.

It is ideal for cabling microphones, consoles and outboard with line level and active speakers.

Starquad cables are the next step in balanced cabling. The Van Damme XKE Starquad Microphone Premium has two wires per signal path (2 x + pole & 2 x – pole), which are twisted around each other. This increases the surface area of the cable wires. Noise is indexed more evenly. This uniform induction means that more noise and interference are suppressed when the signals are inverted again. For this reason, as well as the enormously good sound characteristics, this cable is used extensively in broadcasting, as well as by professional recording studios with many power sources, and also on tours by, for example, Rihanna and Adele.

Each Van Damme Starquad Microphone is made in England with great care and without compromise. You can be sure that it will provide the best possible signal flow for years to come. And if it ever happens that a tour grade cable breaks, we’ll simply replace it. With proper use, Van Damme Cable offers you a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty.

The legislator has decided that orders “made to measure” – which in our case is the production of audio cables according to customer specifications, are excluded from the right of withdrawal § 355 Abs. 2 BGB new version. The cable is suitable for microphone level signals in electrically harsh environments; especially outdoor broadcasting, professional studios and the film industry. It is also suitable for analog balanced line level audio and is especially recommended for longer distances. It is made of a combination of silver-plated and high-purity oxygen-free copper conductors for unsurpassed sound quality.
