The Van Damme Pro-Patch Premium XLR Audio Cable of the Pro Grade Classic Series is specifically designed for line level signal transmission for audio hardware, audio interfaces and playback devices such as tape machines and monitor speakers in studio and broadcast applications. It is used extensively at Abbey Road Studios London and The Curch Studios, among others. The cable has a small diameter and a very high flexibility. This makes it easy to route in the rack or studio desk. The outer jacket has been further improved so that the cable remains flexible even in slightly sub-zero temperatures. In this way, the Van Damme Pro patch helps the BBC produce unique documentaries with excellent sound even in cold regions. Tightly packed cotton fillers under the outer jacket prevent static and ensure consistent capacity.

The cable can be used for analog balanced audio with microphone and line level. It is ideal for bantam patch cables and adapter cables, shorter microphone cables and XLR splitter cables, MIDI cables and other DIN connection applications. The braided shield with 95% optical coverage has excellent mechanical strength and suppression against electromagnetic interference (EMI), as well as radio frequency interference (RFI).

Van Damme Pro Grade’s classic XKE Pro patch cable is specifically designed as a 4.85mm overall diameter cable for Neutrik and Switchcraft Bantam jacks, as well as other applications where a lower outer diameter cable is required. The braided shield and tightly packed construction ensure that the smaller size does not compromise mechanical and sonic integrity in any way.
