The M61 FET Omnidirectional package contains an M60 amplifier in combination with a TK61 omnidirectional capsule.
The TK61 features a gold-sputtered 6-micron diaphragm with a diameter of 15 mm and offers a large, open sound that is perfect for capturing the atmosphere of an instrument or recording environment and breathing life into any recording.
The frequency response is linear from 20 Hz to 5 kHz, with a soft, airy presence peak at 8 kHz.
The incredibly fast transient response of the M60 FET captures nuances and subtleties with impressive precision and clarity.
The result is an extremely detailed sound image with definition and presence that is perfect for the complex character of string and keyboard instruments and percussive sources.

Small diaphragm FET microphone
This reinterpretation of the classic FET microphone amplifier is based on a unique, proprietary circuit topology and is characterized by exceptional transient response.
Carefully selected and tested components are hand-plugged into gold-plated traces to create an extremely clean, discrete Class A amplifier.
The output is matched with a custom transformer made in the USA that has an exceptionally low self-noise and a THD+N value of 0.015% or better, making it ideal for critical recording applications.
The housing of the M60 FET amplifier is finished with a robust, slightly textured black powder coating decorated with the historic Telefunken diamond emblem.
The XLR connector housing of the microphone completes the look with a matt black nickel-plated surface engraved with the model and serial number.
The TK61 capsule has a shiny nickel-plated housing with a fine golden mesh pattern.
