The BiG from SPL Audio is a 500 module for the enlargement of the stereo image.
The double-slot module is used for processing the stereo stage and is equipped with three controls (Range, Stage, Bigness) and a switchable passive filter for bass boost.

Stereo Enlargement
The Image Shaper is operated via the three parameters RANGE, STAGE and BIGNESS:
The RANGE slider selects the frequency range to be processed. STAGE moves the frequency range selected with the RANGE slider back or forward on the stereo stage. Finally, the large BIGNESS control adjusts the intensity of the STEREO IMAGE SHAPING.
As an additional function the switch BASS is installed. If this is activated, a bass boost downstream of the BIGNESS section is activated. The bass boost is generated by a passive filter, which is implemented in a similar circuit as used in the AirBass function of the SPL IRON mastering compressor.
The module also features a bypass switch. Signal LEDs indicate applied levels from -20dBu.
