SSL UF1 | Mastering & DAW Controller

The UF1 is your ultimate single-fader controller, taking your in-the-box productions to the next level with the legendary SSL workflow and high-quality controls. With a motorized 100 mm fader, two high-resolution colour displays, durable RGB rubber buttons with a soft feel and a weighted jog wheel, you get everything in a robust metal housing with a premium look. With the UF1, you have full control over pans, sends, plug-ins, can customize 46 softkeys to your workflow and control up to three DAWs simultaneously. The clear visual feedback, intuitive operation and deep integration are made possible by the included SSL Meter plug-in and SSL 360° software. The UF1 takes the SSL Eco system to a whole new level, never before seen in this size.

The UF1 supports DAW profiles for Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Studio One, Ableton Live, LUNA and Pyramix. High-quality transport buttons and a weighted jog/scrub wheel make your work comfortable, fast and efficient. Secondary transport buttons can be customized to important workflow button combinations such as Loop On/Off or Click on Track On/Off. The toggle button gives you quick access to DAW automation modes. The premium 100 mm motorized SSL fader gives you precise control when writing automation or fine-tuning track volume in your recording and mixing sessions. The UF1’s two high-resolution displays give you detailed feedback on track names, parameters, time display, the SSL meter plug-in and 360°-capable channel strips in the SSL plug-in mixer. Control SSL channel strip plug-ins directly from the UF1: The EQ curve is shown on the large display, gate and compression activity on the small display. With the large, gridded encoder you can control channel banking, mouse wheel emulation (focus mode) and volume control.

In addition to comprehensive DAW control, every UF1 comes with a perpetual license for the SSL Meter plug-in (worth €99.99). The meter plug-in is visualized on the large 4.3-inch display and can be controlled directly via the UF1 interface or the SSL 360° plug-in mixer. It includes important measurement tools such as peak and RMS levels, K-system, stereo balance, phase correlation, Lissajous phasescopes, 31-band RTA, VU and PPM metering.

You can use the UF1 on its own or combine it with the UF8 for even more control over your SSL DAW environment. The UF1 is also the perfect hardware extension for the UC1 SSL plug-in controller to give you fader control and easy access to SSL 360°-enabled channel strip parameters and visual feedback of EQ curves. For the ultimate SSL controller setup that gives you a complete SSL workflow for virtual consoles, you can combine the UF1 with up to four UF8s and the UC1.
