The analog/digital converter module 1090 is a pre-installed or retrofittable digital output for appropriately prepared SPL devices.
Devices with optional equipment are usually manufactured to order. However, the AD 1090 converter module can also be retrofitted by technically experienced persons or specialists. It is not necessary to open the unit.
Please follow all safety and installation instructions in the transducer manual.
Digital outputs:
- Internal PCM sampling rates: 44.1/48/88.2/96 kHz
- PCM sampling rates (RCA): 44.1/48/88.2/96 kHz & with external sync 176.4/192 kHz
- PCM sampling rates (Toslink F06): 44.1/48/88.2/96 kHz & with fiber <1m: 176.4/192 kHz
- 0 dBFS calibrated to: 15 dBu
Analog/ Digital Converter
At its heart is a 24-bit converter with sampling rates from 32 to 192 kHz. Very accurate quartz oscillators ensure a clean, low jitter master clock. The internal sample rate can be set to 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96k Hz with switches. Other sample rates (32, 176.4 and 192 kHz) can only be set with an external synchronization signal. As soon as an external synchronization signal is applied, all internal oscillators are switched off to avoid interferences.
The converter card provides an SPDIF output, which is available in parallel as RCA and optical output.
The AD 1090 module can be installed in the following devices:
- Frontliner
- Channel One
- Track One
- Gold Mike Mk2
- GainStation 1 (installation only possible by SPL or authorized service partners)
