The Delta 2 from Sontronics is an active ribbon microphone and was one of the first phantom-powered of this type. It stands with its siblings Sigma 2 and Apollo 2 at the forefront of ribbon microphone technology. Hand-built, it showcases the best of British engineering.

Active Ribbon microphone
This successor model continues to be made of high-quality components and received a sonic refinement to the previous model. One of the innovations are RFI filters that eliminate interference and reproduce a particularly clean signal.
The microphone has a less high sensitivity than the Sigma 2 and allows the pickup of signals up to 140dB. As is usual with ribbon microphones, the Sigma 2 also delivers an intimate and natural reproduction. Defined highs, gripping mids and powerful basses characterize this microphone. Thanks to the slightly lower sensitivity, it is ideally suited for loud wind and string instruments and guitar amps.
