Stereo input channels 1-8
A professional 100 mm fader determines the level of stereo input channels 1-8, with up to +10 dB additional line gain. Channels 1-8 can be used either as stereo or mono channels with midrange adjustment (via switches on the rear panel) and have mute switches and inserts. The insert send of channels 1-2 and 3-4 has an optional talkback assignment for feeding channels 1-8 through the 5060 into multi-channel cue systems. The insert sends of channels 1-8 can also be used as a pre-fader send to a multitrack recorder.

Stereo bus master
A 100 mm stereo fader provides level control for the master stereo bus, which is output to both the monitor signal of the stereo bus and the stereo master output. To add compression and EQ to the mix bus, there is also a transformer-coupled insert that is activated with the insert switch.

Texture and Silk Red/Blue
With the infinitely adjustable Texture controls and Silk Red and Silk Blue modes, the sound engineer can fine-tune the overtone ratio and tonality of the 5060’s outputs – or leave any mix pristine and uncolored. Silk Red mode emphasizes the saturation of the transformer in the high and mid frequencies to give the mix a “sparkle”, while Silk Blue accentuates the saturation of the low and mid frequencies to add thickness and density to the mix – particularly useful for dry, somewhat anemic mixes.

Talkback
The supplied talkback microphone is activated by pressing the talkback switch. The talkback has a level control, a direct output and an assignment to insert sends 1-2 and 3-4. When the talkback switch is pressed, the speaker output levels are lowered according to the setting of the dim control. A talkback remote control can also be connected to the ¼” talkback remote control input on the rear of the 5060.
