Roger Schult W2389j (f) M/S Master junior – 500er Mid Side Converter
999,05€
- Stereo to M/S conversion and vice versa
- High mastering quality signal
- Bypass switch for easy control of signal processing
The analog M/S precision matrix W2389j allows separate access to the mid and side components in the stereo signal and thus opens up special design possibilities for mastering. Due to the built-in reconversion to L/R, the use of the matrix is particularly uncomplicated; it can simply be looped into the stereo signal path.
The incoming L/R signal is converted with high precision into mid and side components, which are then available at the low-impedance send output for processing with external devices. Signals fed back via the return input, which is also universally designed for high-impedance vintage effects, are then converted back precisely into an L/R stereo signal. Optionally, the M/S loop-in path can also be switched to conventional L/R operation.
For easy comparison with the unprocessed original signal, crisp-free bypass switches are also provided; in M/S mode, these operate separately, since it is precisely the different types of processing that are of interest here, while in L/R mode they are automatically coupled. If there is no need for conversion back to L/R, the unit can also be used as a dual M/S converter. A useful tool in recording, mixing, and mastering, the compact precision matix offers various applications in conjunction with various outboard devices.
The W2369j can be installed in any API 500 ® environment.
