The V2359j ribbon microphone amplifier enables the universal adaptation of passive sound transducers (ribbon, moving coil, carbon, piezo, crystal microphones) to the programme material. The continuously adjustable pre-amplification ranges from 26 dB to 59 dB. Thanks to a pad switch, the signal can be attenuated by -15 dB.
The value range of the impedance adjustment via the impedance potentiometer has been generously designed from 150 Ohm to 22 kOhm in order to optimise the linear transfer function by changing the load impedance. The module can also be used as a creative tool by mismatching to change the frequency response.
Settings can be customised via jumpers on the circuit board. The brightness of the buttons, activation of a high-pass filter, pre-amplification of max. 59dB to max. 76dB and GND can be changed independently. The instructions for this can be found in the product documents listed.

3-band Equalizer
The tonal adjustment is carried out for the treble range as a Baxandall tone control, in the mid-range by a quasi-parametric equaliser and for the low frequencies by means of a high-pass filter. All filter parameters can be changed continuously. An illuminated pressure switch (bypass) is available to check the effect of the set filters.
A switchable +48 V phantom power supply is integrated for the use of microphones with remote power supply.
– LF: 20Hz with 0 to -17 dB
– MF: 155 Hz – 3.5 kHz with +/- 10 dB; Q: 1.5 / 0.4 fixed and 1.5 – 3.5 adjustable
– HF: 9 kHz with +/- 12 dB
The V2359j can be installed in any api 500 ® environment. High-quality ALPHA ® potentiometers/faders and illuminated pressure switches from eao ® , as well as the gold-plated connector strip guarantee long and trouble-free operation in continuous use.
The microphone preamplifier with three integrated filters and variable adaptation of passive sound transducers to the programme material makes it possible to reduce interference frequencies and emphasise the desired frequency ranges.

Ich bin total begeistert von dem Preamp, weil ich bisher noch keinen gefunden hatte, der einerseits so dynamisch und sauber, aber gleichzeitig so musikalisch arbeitet. Für leise akustische Instrumente ein absoluter Traum. Ich habe noch nie so “tief” in meinen Kontrabass “hinein gehört”…aber auch mit lauten Signal-Quellen kommt er super klar… ich musste bisher noch nicht den Pad-Schalter bemühen, weil der Preamp einfach kristallklar und sauber den Input verarbeitet. Die auch noch vorhandene “Klangregelung” ist ein zusätzliches Schmankerl, weil sie weitere EQ’s (eigentlich) überflüssig macht und eigentlich immer “gut” klingt. Ich habe direkt noch einen zweiten gekauft…;)
