Mastering Active monitor
FOR AN AUDIOPHILE LISTENING EXPERIENCE
The A215-M uses a D’Appolito configuration with two woofers, one above and one below the tweeter. This creates a point source system with reduced radiation behavior in the vertical plane. This is typically well suited for mastering rooms or living rooms where floor and ceiling reflections can best be minimized.
The innovative architecture of the PSI Audio A215-M produces excellent full-range performance for mastering even without additional bass extension. However, if a subwoofer like the A225-M is connected, the speaker is relieved and shines with even more clarity in the middle frequencies.
The A215-M features the brand’s most advanced technological innovations: Class G/H amplification, CPR, AOI, ALG and PSC, all of which contribute to the special PSI Audio experience. It is designed to blend in harmoniously with the rest of the M-Series monitor line-up. So it can be used in stereo or surround systems without any problems.
AOI, CPR, ALG, G/H - for highest quality
The A215-M features all of the technical advances built into the full range of PSI Audio precision studio speakers. This includes:
Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI)
This system monitors the diaphragm movements in relation to the input signal and thus enables exceptionally precise sound reproduction.
Compensated Phase Response (CPR)
This ensures that all spectral elements of the incoming signal are output in the correct phase in order to avoid unwanted changes in the sound of the source material. The entire technology works in an absolutely analogue way.
Acoustic Load Guide (ALG)
The shape and dimensions of the waveguide used in the PSI Audio tweeter have been specially developed to optimize the dispersion characteristics, maximize the sound pressure level and extend the bandwidth.
G/H power amplifiers
The same applies to the Class G/H power amplifiers, which combine the advantages of Class AB with lower distortion and increased efficiency.
Together with the Swiss craftsmanship and the complex calibration of each individual loudspeaker in an anechoic chamber, these technologies enable an unimagined precision in sound reproduction.
