Mäag Audio EQ4 500 | 6-band EQ with AIR Band

The Maag Audio EQ4-500 is a single-channel 6-band equalizer module of the 500 series that fits into a single slot of the popular module racks in the API 500 format.
As with the EQ2, many of the features and design philosophy of the Maag Audio EQ4M standalone equalizer are integrated into the EQ4-500 equalizer.

Like the 1U standalone EQ4M stereo mastering equalizer, the EQ4-500 has six EQ band sections, divided into four fixed frequency bell-shaped peaking equalizer sections, a 2.5 kHz shelving equalizer section and the AIR BAND shelf equalizer with the following frequencies to choose from: off, 2.5, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 kHz.
The five frequency bands in the main section are: Sub or 10 Hz, 40 Hz, 160 Hz, 650 Hz and the 2.5 kHz shelf EQ.
The AIR GAIN allows a boost of up to +20 dB for the AIR BAND shelf equalizer.

The five EQ bands in the main section have a boost/cut range of +15 dB and -4.5 dB with a center position at 0 dB.
The EQ4-500 has both a green signal indicator at -20 dBu and a red peak indicator that flashes when overdriven at +25 dBu.
There is also an in/out bypass switch for the entire module.
