Lake People
  • Transistorized amplifiers
  • Alps RK 27 potentiometer for volume control
  • Outputs with switch-on delay via relay
  • Duct-separated structure

The Lake People G111 is the successor to the famous PHONE-AMP G100, which can be seen as the forerunner of the HiFi / HiEnd devices from Lake People and Violectric.
Its special transistorized amplifiers produce a very neutral sound with a touch of warmth.

This is why the G100 and the G111 were widely used and approved by both professional and private users.
Professionals appreciated the sheer indestructibility of the housing, while private users praised the exceptionally high sound quality, which they had not thought possible.

The G111 Mk II has been revised and optimized several times, so we can proudly say: This is the best device we have ever built!

  • The PHONE-AMP G111 Mk II offers everything that is still important to us today:
  • Transistorized amplifiers for the highest transmission quality.
  • A smooth-running Alps RK 27 potentiometer for precise volume control.
  • An oversized power supply with toroidal transformer.

With the G100 – and of course also with the G111 Mk II – our technical guidelines were defined for the first time, which in combination are unique:

  • Lowest noise due to low internal amplification, resulting in mostly unnoticeable inherent noise.
  • Highest output voltage thanks to an internal operating voltage of 50 volts, compared to the usual 25 volts for most headphone amplifiers on the market, making them ideal for high-impedance headphones.
  • Powerful power amplifiers that can deliver significantly more current than a headphone needs, making them suitable for low-impedance headphones – including magnetostats.
  • Highest damping factor thanks to lowest output impedance, which allows best control over critical headphones and ensures linear transmission.
  • Pre-gain: Seven-way adjustable gain for optimum adaptation to all sources and all headphones.
  • Made in Germany
  • Balanced inputs via gold-plated XLR sockets
  • Unbalanced inputs via gold-plated cinch sockets
  • PRE-GAIN: 7-stage internally adjustable gain
  • Alps RK 27 high-grade potentiometer with optimum synchronization and minimal crosstalk
  • Large 25 mm knob made from solid aluminum
  • Channel-separated structure
  • Discrete power amplifiers with 4 transistors per channel (V100 technology!)
  • LF transmission range 150 kHz (-3 dB)
  • Output voltage > 18 V into a load > 600 Ohm
  • Output power > 2000 mW into a load of 100 Ohm
  • Toroidal transformer and large screen capacities
  • Outputs with switch-on delay via relay
  • Compact and extremely robust aluminum housing
  • Noise: < -101 dBu
  • Dynamic range: > 129 dB (A-weighted)
  • Dimensions (W x H x D): 168 x 47 x 165 mm
