The IGS Bison 500 is a versatile processor designed specifically for use with dual mono gear, allowing them to be run as parallel processing in mid/side mode.
The IGS Bison 500 is a simple mid/side processor with a dry/wet mixer that can be installed in any 500 rack with a standard power supply.
There are two stereo jack connectors (2 sends and 2 returns) on the front of the unit which can be used to connect two dual mono or two mono compressors.
Flipping the switch activates the compressor or compressors in mid/side mode.
In mid/side mode, the left channel controls the common (mid) range of the two channels, while the right channel controls the difference between the channels, also known as side.
By adding more side signal or compressing them separately, you can significantly increase your stereo width.

Parallel Stereo / MS
The Dry/Wet control is extremely useful for parallel mixing.
It is particularly suitable for situations where you want to boost the sound without losing the natural dynamics of the dry mix.
This mode makes it possible to mix the processed (compressed) signal with the original signal to achieve a balanced sound texture.
Overall, the IGS Bison 500 offers simple operation with one switch and one knob, while providing a wide range of creative possibilities for processing stereo material.
