Black Lion Audio’s PBR-8 is an 8-slot 500 series rack with integrated fully balanced TT/Bantam patchbay (patented Black Lion technology) and unlimited routing options that allow modules to be quickly interconnected without having to be mounted in any particular order. The signal chain can be easily monitored, re-routed, split via one of the patchbay multis, sent to modules in another rack, routed back, and then output – all from the front panel of the PBR-8.

500 Chassis
Providing a stable and reliable power supply has long been one of the problems facing the 500 Series. To solve this problem, the PBR-8 features OST (On Slot Technology), developed in Europe by Heritage Audio. This technology allows you to take advantage of individual regulation per channel, ensuring that noise, power issues or crosstalk from one module does not affect the other modules. The powerful power supply delivers a maximum of 400mA per rail per slot, with a total output of 1.6A (1.8A non-continuous) per rail, whichever is reached first. Combined with the patchbay, OST makes the PBR-8 not only one of the quietest and most reliable racks in the 500 series, but also the most functional and flexible ever built.
Note: Please use the M3 screws included with the PBR-8 when installing 500 Series modules. Using 4-40 screws will cause the rack to tear out.
