Two classics in one cabinet: The B172A combines the Seventeen version of the legendary “76” FET limiter with the famous “2A” optical compressor. Whether the FET and opto compressor are used individually or in series, the B172A impresses with its incredible sound and versatility. The B172A’s Dual Mono Link makes it easy to route the signal through circuits 17 and 2A in any order. FET/ Opto Compressor
Great care was taken in selecting the best transformers for each circuit. The unit is equipped with a Cinemag input transformer on the 2A side and BLA’s own Chicago-wound output transformers in both circuits. In addition, high-quality signal path and decoupling capacitors are installed.
