The Auteur Quad is the four-channel mic preamp version of the popular Auteur MK2 rack-mount mic preamp.
The Auteur has become a studio classic over the past decade and is known for its fast, transparent IC-based front end while offering a fat, colorful back end via Edcor transformers.
This blend of vintage and modern design approaches has earned the Auteur a reputation as the “Swiss Army Knife of preamps” that sounds good for anything.

4-channel Mic Preamp
It shines particularly well with sources that require detail but also benefit from a certain thickness, such as drums or vocals.
The most important new features of the Quad compared to the 2-channel half-rack unit include the new LED indicators on all four channels and the adoption of the popular DI circuit from the 500 Auteur series on the first two channels.
With this equipment and the number of channels, the Quad preamp is one of the best in terms of price-performance ratio.
The Auteur Quad has 4 XLR inputs and outputs on the rear and also has inputs for line and Hi-Z instrument signals on channel 1 + 2 on the front.
In addition, +48V phantom power, phase reverse and a pad can be added to all four channels.
