The Auteur MKII 500 is a single channel 500 series preamp with phantom power, phase adjustment, a 13dB pad and a Hi-Z input. It is one of the 500 series preamps with the best price/performance ratio. It offers the same sound as the 1⁄2 rack version, but also has a Hi-Z input. It also has an ultra-fast input stage built in that captures a lot of detail and nuance, while the signal path transformer adds some bite on the way out.
