Avantone SSM – Metal shock mount for pencil microphones

The Avantone SSM Shock Mount is designed for professional use. It drastically reduces unwanted low frequency rumble and vibration. In both studio and live performance, it is very important to maintain a clean mix by removing the low-frequency rumble that can build up with multiple open full-range microphones.

Each SSM is made of heavy-duty die-cast zinc that is not only incredibly durable, but also provides additional mass that helps dampen vibration/decoupling. The rugged design with 4 o-rings per unit securely holds most small body microphones while keeping them out of contact with the body.

The slots allow vertical/horizontal positioning of the O-rings. In addition, they can also be positioned in an “x” configuration to provide a better fit on the very slim housings of some measurement microphones. The new, premium ethylene-propylene formula provides tremendous break resistance, high resistance to surface nicks, and remains pliable and effective even in dry, hot temperatures.
