The Avantone “Cabernet (C Series)” microphones are designed to provide true professional performance. They meet or exceed the specifications of much more expensive microphones. The design, character and performance are comparable to some of the fine vintage tube microphones from the 1950s and 1960s.

Multi-Pattern Tube microphone
The included power supply allows switching the polar pattern. This ranges from omnidirectional to cardioid to figure-eight and can be adjusted in 9 steps. The rugged CV-12 microphone housing and capsule are precision machined from brass. Aesthetically, the microphone is finished in an elegant Cabernet Wine Red accented by polished nickel trim and grille. The transformer-coupled tube circuitry has its origins in famous European vintage designs. It is made from the finest materials and has excellent signal integrity.
The versatile CV-12 microphone is capable of producing professional results with a warm, pleasant sound character. The included Custom Retro Shockmount allows precise positioning of the microphone while preventing unwanted vibrations from being transmitted into the microphone.
