Tom Microphone
WITH SSM DAMPER MOUNT + PRO-KLAMP
A unique feature of all Avantone drum microphones are two milled inserts. These inserts allow the O-rings of the SSM shock mount to hold the microphone in place, preventing the microphone from slipping. The supplied SSM shock mount is very robust and provides excellent decoupling of the microphone from unwanted low-frequency transmissions and rumble. This feature in combination with the PK-1 PRO KLAMP results in a much denser and more precise sound. The new, premium ethylene-propylene O-ring offers tremendous break resistance, resistance to surface nicks and remains supple and effective even in dry, hot temperatures. It is ozone and weather resistant and retains its physical properties even when stretched. Each SSM is made from heavy-duty die-cast zinc, which is not only incredibly durable, but also provides additional mass, which contributes to vibration damping/decoupling.
The included PK-1 PRO-KLAMP drum rim microphone mount allows for secure positioning of the microphone while preventing unwanted vibrations from being transmitted into the microphone with three levels of rubber damping/decoupling material. This isolation enables professional results without the need for tripods. The mount is designed for tough live use on stage, but is also suitable for drum rim microphones in studio environments.
The Avantone ATOM Tom microphone is made from die-cast zinc and features a brass and steel grille.
Aesthetically, the microphone is finished in an elegant cabernet wine red, accented with polished nickel and a black grill.
All components are designed and manufactured using the finest materials.
This results in a very solid feel, excellent signal integrity and long-lasting reliability.
The microphone can be safely stored and transported in the robust, specially shaped and padded case.
The ATOM microphone, the SSM shockmount, the PK-1 PRO KLAMP and the supplied carrying case are checked, tested and carefully packed in New York.
