Since the 1970s, the name Auratone belongs to the established greats of recording studio equipment. Countless hit productions were perfected over the small passive full-range speakers 5C Super Sound Cubes, from countless meterbridges are not to be imagined without the beloved sound cubes. After production was discontinued in 1990, the originals have been available again since 2015 – and are once again enjoying great popularity. The concept of a minimalist speaker that acts as a point source, bringing amazing transparency and spaciousness as well as a helpful midrange focus to the production studio, remains as successful as ever.

The passive reference speaker C5 Super Sound Cube is manufactured in the USA with high-quality components in the usual Auratone quality. The speaker is available in two optical variants. The choice is the typical wood look with mahogany veneer or in black with black veneer. Its uncomplicated handling and flexible positioning options make it easy to work with these speakers.
The linear 4.5″ full-range driver exhibits good power handling even at high levels. At the same time, its frequency response ranges from 75Hz to 15kHz.
