With the API 525A, one of the most legendary FET compressors returns – now with variable attack time and seven adjustable release modes. Building on the historic API 525, the new 525A combines the classic API punch with more control over dynamics processing. This makes it even more versatile for drums, vocals, guitars and other dynamic instruments.

Precise dynamics processing with the typical API sound
The 525A relies on proven FET compression with feedback design, making it musical and organic. Thanks to the API 2520 OpAmp, the sound remains powerful, warm and assertive.
Thanks to the new adjustable attack time, you can now decide even more specifically whether transients should be retained or compressed. At the same time, the seven release options provide even more customization options, from natural feedback to compact limiting.
