The API 512c is one of the most famous microphone preamps in studio history and a true classic in the 500 Series. Since its introduction in the 1970s, it has been known for its punchy, warm sound characteristics and is used in countless studios worldwide. Equipped with the legendary API 2520 OpAmp, the 512c offers the full API sound with rich saturation, high transparency and precise dynamic control.

The 512c has three input options:
