The TUBE-TECH ME 1B is a passive all-tube midrange EQ based on the legendary Pultech MEQ5, featuring two boost and one dip section.

The bandwidth of the ME1B sections is wider than that of the MEQ5 and enables ultra-smooth and musical equalization, perfect for vocals, instruments, speech and all other midrange sources.
The mid frequencies have always been very important when it comes to equalizing instruments and vocals to complete a mix.
TUBE-TECH ME 1B can shape the mid frequencies in a very pleasant way that only a passive equalizer can.
Even extreme boosts in the mids still sound open and warm, without the slightest hint of harshness.
The ME 1B is the perfect partner for the PE1C program EQ and is very well suited as a bus EQ for many different applications.

The ME1B is an important tool for adding a nice midrange to your recordings.

Differences between the program EQs PE1A, PE1B and PE1C
The amplifier section in PE 1A and PE 1B is hard-wired.
In PE 1C, the transformers and the tubes are located inside the device on a circuit board.
The filter section for the low BOOST/ATTEN and the high ATTEN is the same for all three devices.
The high amplification in PE 1B and PE 1C has three additional frequencies: 1, 1.5 and 2 KHz
