The Halo microphone from Sontronics is based on the STC-80 dynamic handheld microphone and is perfect for miking guitar amplifiers. Not only does it look stylish, it also gives distorted guitars a concise and powerful sound. The tonal tuning has been developed in such a way that an EQ is not necessary.

Dynamic Microphone
The housing is made of solid metal with a high-quality finish and an elaborate capsule suspension. This ensures clean recordings free of impact sound with a frequency range of 50 Hz to 15 kHz.
Sontronics boss Trevor Coley comments: “I’m a guitarist myself and wanted to create a microphone that would work instantly in front of an amp” and continues: “So we retuned the sound based on this capsule and chose an extravagant housing design to give guitarists a spectacular amp microphone that wouldn’t break the bank.”
