Version

The Harrison D510r Mixer is a professional 500-slot rack system with an integrated D510MX 8×2 summing mixer module and is suitable for flexible setups in which analog signal processing is to be combined with direct analog summing. Based on the modular Harrison D510 rack design, this variant provides a fully-fledged 10-slot rack in the API 500 standard, which is already equipped with an integrated mixer module. This allows up to eight 500 modules to be combined directly into an analog stereo sum – without the need for an external summing device.

The system offers nine usable slots for classic 500 series modules such as preamps, EQs or compressors. The first slot accommodates the dedicated power supply module with stable ±16 V DC voltage at up to 1.6 A per rail. The mixer occupies another slot and allows up to eight adjacent channel modules to be assigned directly to a stereo sum (L/R). The channel strips have dedicated controls for level, pan, mute, solo and a post-fader aux send function.

The mixer module offers a dedicated stereo output via balanced XLR sockets on the rear panel and can also be used independently of the rack’s individual analog outputs. This makes the D510r mixer ideal for use in compact summing setups, mobile recording solutions or analog submix configurations within larger studio systems. The internal signal routing is of high quality, with passive routing in combination with active summing in the mixer module.

The rack is fully API-500 compatible, mechanically robust and designed for stationary installation in a 19″ studio rack. The combination of modular analog technology and direct summing provides an efficient workflow tool for hybrid studio environments.

  • Module slots: 10 slots (API 500-compatible), including 1 slot for power supply module (slot 1), 1 slot occupied by D510MX mixer
  • Power supply: ±16 V DC, 1.6 A per rail (symmetrical)
  • Connections (individual modules): Rear XLR inputs and outputs (balanced, gold-plated, per slot)
  • Mixer channels: 8 input channels on 2 sum outputs (L/R)
  • Mixer functions per channel: Level, Panorama, Mute, Solo, Post-Fader Aux-Send
  • Sum outputs: 2x XLR (balanced)
  • Status displays: LEDs for ±16 V power supply
  • Form factor: 19″ rackmount, 3 U
  • Material: Powder-coated metal housing
    Dimensions: 48.3 cm x 13.3 cm x 19.7 cm (19″ x 5.25″ x 7.75″)

A unique feature of the Harrison D510 system is the ability to integrate an optional Dante interface module. This separate module expands the D510 into a Dante-capable system and enables the seamless integration of analog signal processing into AoIP-based setups – both in the studio and live. This allows 500 modules to be integrated directly into digital audio networks and used flexibly in hybrid workflows.
