Eventide Ultra Essentials Bundle

The Eventide Ultra Essentials Bundle is a software plug-in package for audio production, mixing, recording, live sound, post-production, and sound design. The bundle includes the three effect plug-ins Eventide UltraChannel, Eventide UltraReverb, and Eventide UltraTap. Together, they cover channel processing, dynamics and frequency processing, algorithmic reverb, multi-tap delay, micro-pitch shift, and modulation. In total, more than 600 factory presets are available, including presets from Eventide artists and producers such as Andrew Scheps, Chris Carter, Richard Devine, Sasha, ROCASound, Brian Montgomery, and Matt Lange.

Eventide UltraChannel is designed as a modular channel strip for mixing and mastering applications. The plug-in features a routable gate, a parametric equalizer, two compressors, delay, and micro-pitch shift. It also features soft saturation and a transformer emulation. FlexiPath routing allows the order of the processing modules to be customized to the specific signal path. The plug-in also supports sidechain processing, allowing an external audio signal to be used to control the dynamics sections. According to Eventide, the Micro-Pitch function is based on technology from the H9000 and is used to compress or expand instrument and vocal signals. UltraChannel includes more than 200 presets for various applications.

Eventide UltraReverb combines nine reverb algorithms with additional multi-effect functions. The algorithms are derived from the Eventide H8000 hardware and include reverb, chamber, room, plate, and ambience types, among others. Parameters for PreDelay, Decay, Room Size, and Diffusion are available for shaping the reverb architecture. Four parametric equalizers, compression, and delay can be placed either before or after the reverb processor. This allows you to create both natural room sounds and more heavily processed reverb textures within a single plug-in instance. UltraReverb includes more than 300 presets.

Eventide UltraTap is a multi-tap delay and modulation plug-in for rhythmic delays, dense reverb textures, volume swells, and evolving modulation effects. The Spread parameter alters the temporal intervals between individual taps by speeding up or slowing down their rhythmic distribution. The Slurm parameter allows the taps to be blended or modulated together, creating cohesive delay and reverb structures. Eventide lists drum fills, vocal chorus effects, swelling guitar chords, and other time-varying effects among the officially recommended applications.

The Eventide Ultra Essentials Bundle is available as downloadable software for 64-bit systems. On Windows, AAX, VST2, and VST3 are supported. On macOS, AAX, Audio Units, VST2, and VST3 are available. Eventide lists Windows 10 or later on x64 systems and macOS 10.14 or later with Intel or Apple Silicon processors as system requirements. An iLok account is required for license activation; a physical iLok USB dongle is not required. Eventide has tested the desktop plug-ins with Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, and Reaper, among others, and states that they can be used in compatible DAW hosts.
