Eventide MangledVerb | H9 Series Plug-In

Eventide MangledVerb is a creative reverb and distortion plug-in for creating extraordinary spaces, aggressive sound distortion, and experimental sound design. The effect is taken directly from the Eventide H9 Harmonizer and combines a variable pre-delay, stereo reverb, and a complex distortion section into a distinctive sound-shaping tool.

MangledVerb ranges from dense, musical reverberation spaces to gritty distortion leads, destroyed soundscapes, drones, and extreme effect textures. This makes the plug-in particularly well-suited for guitars, synthesizers, vocals, drums, FX, ambient sounds, and post-production.

The distortion can be crossfaded between Softclip Distortion and Overdrive, while Wobble creates additional detuning and instability effects. With Ribbon Control and Hotswitch, you can performatively control complex sound transitions or instantly switch between two sound states—ideal for automation, transitions, and creative effect sweeps in the mix.
