Eventide H9 Series Bundle

The Eventide H9 Series Bundle, officially known as the H9 Plug-In Series, is a collection of 11 effect plug-ins for music production, mixing, sound design, and performance-oriented effect control within a compatible DAW. The included processors translate selected algorithms from the Eventide H9 Harmonizer effects pedal into native software plug-ins. The bundle includes algorithmic reverb, spring reverb, pitch shifting, micro-pitch shift, delay, multi-tap delay, chorus, rotary speaker modulation, tremolo, overdrive, distortion, and combined multi-effect structures.

Included are Eventide Blackhole, CrushStation, Crystals, MangledVerb, MicroPitch, Rotary Mod, ShimmerVerb, Spring, TriceraChorus, UltraTap, and Undulator. Eventide categorizes the collection into the areas of reverb, creative FX, pitch shifting, and modulation. More than 1,000 factory and artist presets are available across all plug-ins, covering a variety of instruments as well as production and sound design applications.

Blackhole is an algorithmic reverb plug-in for virtual spatial structures that are not tied to realistic acoustic spaces. The effect can generate both long, harmonic reverb tails and more compact spatial effects. Spring emulates a spring reverb processor with additional modulation options. ShimmerVerb combines reverb with pitch shifting, while MangledVerb combines reverb structures with distortion processing. Thus, the Eventide H9 Series Bundle includes four differently designed reverb processors for spatial, pitch-based, and distorted effect structures.

CrushStation is designed for overdrive, distortion, and saturation processing. The signal path combines stereo overdrive or distortion with a three-band equalizer, compression, and adjustable upper and lower octave components. In addition, the plug-in can emulate the sonic characteristics of malfunctioning analog hardware. As a result, the processor covers mild saturation, dense distortion, octaved sound textures, and unstable noise effects.

Crystals combines two reverse-operating pitch shifters with reverse delays and reverb. Its architecture enables cascading, pitch-shifted delay structures and polyphonic effects. MicroPitch features separately adjustable left and right delay channels for micro-pitch shifting, detuning, signal widening, and delay applications. The combination of pitch shifting and time-domain processing is modeled after Eventide’s Harmonizer effect concepts.

UltraTap is a multi-tap delay plug-in with additional reverb and modulation features. The processor generates rhythmic repeats, stutter, glitch, chop, and spatial effects. The tap structure can be compressed and modulated using the Slurm parameter, among other controls. This allows the plug-in to generate both clearly separated delay taps and textures that blend into one another.

TriceraChorus is based on a three-voice chorus concept and combines Tri-Stereo Chorus with Eventide’s Swirl modulation. Rotary Mod generates modulation effects based on the principle of rotating speaker systems. Undulator combines modulated tremolo with delay and is used to create pulsating rhythms, sustained soundscapes, and time-varying textures.

All plug-ins in the Eventide H9 Plug-In Series feature RIBBON control. This performance macro allows multiple parameters to be smoothly transitioned between two defined states simultaneously. The RIBBON movement can be automated within the DAW and controlled via MIDI. Individual plug-ins also incorporate performance functions from the H9 effects pedal, including Hotswitch, Freeze, Flex, and Swirl. These functions enable direct switching, sustained effect states, and temporary or continuous parameter changes.

The Eventide H9 Series Bundle is available as 64-bit downloadable software for Windows and macOS. On Windows, AAX, VST2, and VST3 are supported; Eventide specifies Windows 10 or later on x64 systems. On macOS, AAX, Audio Units, VST2, and VST3 are available. Supported platforms include macOS 10.14 or later, as well as Intel and Apple Silicon processors. The plug-ins are designed to work in compatible DAW hosts. Eventide has tested them with Pro Tools, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, FL Studio, and Reaper.

An iLok account is required to activate the license. A physical iLok USB dongle is not required. The H9 Series Bundle Installer installs the included plug-ins as 64-bit versions.
